Can a broken hdd cause problems like my vu + closes down for no reason and can not be restarted without just the message (double your expectation) Seems like it works when HDD is disconnected.
    It is a vu+ duo2

You can, if you wait for the system to the ok disk to boot process to the system, as you indicate that it is broken, it does not.

As it is a DUO2, if you have more than 4 tuner, the blind search does not work, it is not correct, now it takes 20 minutes, at the end it says it can not find channels. a4540.gif

Of course. If your system is able to boot only when you disconnect the HDD (and the rest is in the same situation, like external USB devices) then it's the HDD the problem. Otherwise, disconnect everything from USB ports and leave only the HDD connected to have the final proof.
Then, simply try another HDD: after all, this is the simplest try possible ;)

No, that's probably my VU + that's dead.
Have tested to run without both HDD and USB.
It turns itself off and now it does not start it even if I insert a USB with a fresh image

    VU + Duo2 RIP

It seems a problem with its capacitors. If you know a good electronic technician, he might help you.

The DUO2 power supply has good components (6 years) and works well.
As the partner says, check, the good thing is that they sell the power supply as a spare.

Remove the tuner to lower consumption to the minimum and try again.
    Luck.

    Suerte.

I have sent my duo2 to service, hope that it's not too big a problem to fix it.
An additional power supply is not so expensive to replace, if that is the problem.

Already tested to remove one tuner as well as HDD and USB.
