I have a rar file with picons for UK channels.Where do I upload these files too?
Normally in media/usb/picon or media/hdd/picon
Usually I have them placed in / usr/share/enigma2/picon and works perfectly
now put them in media / hdd / picon...y not catch them ... I should indicate somewhere?
PS: is that the hdd them would save me having to get them every time you install the image ...
Thanks for the replies. I followed superplakis's advice and can confirm that the picons are now showing. placing the picons on the hdd in /hdd/picon did not seem to work on my Vu+ Duo. I have upgraded the BalckHole image to the latest 1.4.4 and this is still true. The only way I could get this to work was by placing the picons in /usr/share/enigma2/picon
Hope this helps somebody. If anybody knows how to get this to work from the hdd I'd welcome the advice.
To avoid to have flash memory problem and to lose your picons every time you change your firmware, you had better to install your picons in /media/usb/picon
My advice is not to install picons on HDD as in this way HDD will be always running.
Much better to install them on usb.
with this command will the HDD be always running?
If you put picons in hdd it will wake up on every channel change.
Where can I get picons from?
Thanks and kind regards,
Green button>>Yellow>>Addons Download Manager>>Picon Packages (LCD PICON is ONLY for VU ultimo)
Thanks very much.
BH 2.0.2 working picon location on Solo2 default BH skin is /usr/share/enigma2/picon.
Picon's aren't working from /hdd/picon, I didn't test USB.
Picons works fine on USB...
On external USB mounted as /universe/ in /picon/ folder they are not working. I didn't test FAT32 formatted USB on Solo2 BH2.0.2 Rev.C
As I remember by default all picons @BH server will go to USB,,,, media/usb/picons
On USB mounted as /universe/ folder media/usb/picon is not working. I'll try picons instead of picon folder.
I think, that the result will be the same. I'm using it now in flash /usr/share/enigma2/picon/ and they are OK.
It doesn't work because the path for picons has to be /media/usb/picon and not /universe/picon.
You should create two partitions on your usb stick and mount them as /universe and as /media/usb
Thanks Mito ! Your information will be usefull to all of BH users . I'll try tomorrow .
Would mounting the usb partition in /usr/share/enigma2/picon not solve the issue?
Worked once since then... Nothing
