Vu + drivers for asiasat 5

Hi guys, I used the latest black hole image 1.7.5 , but still VU ULTIMO was not able to find HD
channels on the following frequencies on asiasat 5,

12582 V , 40700-2/3 8PSK
12642 V , 40700-2/3 8PSK
12702 V , 40700-2/3 8PSK

VU ULTIMO locks these signals but when it scans them, it can not get any HD channels. i also used different images but same result.

PLEASE HELP ME OUT, because I have no idea why VU ULTIMO can not find HD channels on these frequencies.

May be it is worth to give a look in your "satellites.xml" situated in /etc/tuxbox to see if your transponders are present, and if not just add them.

 

Hi, thanks for the advice, i checked the xml file, all the 3 frequncies are there, when i use sat finder i can clearly see the signal (SNR=85% for all 3 frequncies) and the signal is locked, but when i tried to scan it, it says that no services found, all the frequcnies have HD channels. Please advice me further regarding this.

Hi thanks for the advice, but I just tried that but did not work, got no clue why VU Ultimo is not able to detect these HD channels. any other ideas?

In Europe we can test high SR and DVB-S2 on 27.5W - BBC feedchannels:

Dreambox 800HDse has signal on this transponder and after scan channels were found and saved to list.
My Vu+UNO also has signal on this high SR = 44100 DVB-S2 transponder, but after scan - no channels found. You have similar problem on Asiasat - very high SR & DVB-S2.

Manual scan on this 27.5W freq. took about 50 seconds and only then comes "no services found" , usually single transponder scan takes only few seconds.

On 53.0E there is a transponder with SR = 44950:

... but it's DVB-S and problem with this transponder high SR was fixed somewhere in summer 2011.

Uno/Ultimo owners can test on 27.5W, maybe I'm wrong...
(Also with older BH 1.6.6 no channels were found on 27.5W)

 

Did you try to add manually these channels with an edidtor (dreamset, dreambox edit,...) ?

If after that it doesn't work, then may be it is a tuner hardware or tuner driver limitation on High SR...... so ask vuplus for a driver update.

does any one know how to update the drivers manually? and also find the channels details (transponder ID) etc ....

 

You will find channels details at Lyngsat.

search in google " AsiaSat 5 at 100.5°E - LyngSat" ; at the bottom of the page, you will find your famous transponder with all details.

Ps : the channels are crypted in conax, so I guess you have the relevant subsription to decode them ....

Dose new driver(28.6.2012) Solve Tuner's Problem in uno and ultimo? as you know vu uno and ultimo cannot search a few transponder with High S.R ( For Exp: DVB-S2/8PSK 12702 V 40700 2/3 on asiasat 5 100.5°E )​

 

I checked with the latest image or drivers (28/06/2012) but does not work, im sure its a driver issue and i really cant find any solution to it at this moment, we just need an update for the drivers, i have no idea where that is going to come from.

 

I updated uno and ultimo whit new driver but this problem is still

 

i also has same issue bought brand new original vu+ uno same problem i can not tune these channels very much worried dont know what to do
